Beaches TCI Top Scorer in Caribbean Cricket

Beaches Turks and Caicos (BTC) proudly celebrated its players at the TCI Cricket Championship as Beaches TCI Top Scorer, Maintenance and Engineering Supervisor Jerome Daley, led the tournament in runs.

The recognition of Beaches TCI Top Scorer highlights the growing prominence of cricket in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The TCIC team, composed of standout players from the recent TCICA T20 League, brought together a mix of youth, experience, and professionals from both the private and public sectors. Their participation in the TCI Cricket Championship marked a significant milestone for national cricket development.

2. Recognizing Outstanding Work in the Beaches TCI Top Scorer Tournament

BTC’s Elite Butler and TCIC Team Captain, Sidue Hunter, stated, “Being called to lead this team was a challenge I felt prepared for. Moreover, the unity and camaraderie made a big difference. Furthermore, this team sets a solid foundation for the future of TCI cricket.”

3. Showcasing Turks and Caicos Cricket on the Global Stage

While the team did not win the championship, Daley’s performance stood out. However, leading the tournament in runs, he said: “Playing in unfamiliar conditions is always tough. I trusted my game. Additionally, with encouragement from my teammates, I was able to adjust and stay consistent.”
His achievement in the TCI Cricket Championship underscores the talent present in the islands.

BTC Managing Director James McAnally praised the players:

Moving forward, we aim to integrate more youth into our national teams over the next two seasons. Ultimately, we hope to field U15 and U19 teams in the West Indies youth championships. This long-term plan ensures the future of TCI cricket is bright.”
